While casinos in Nevada have been open for weeks, bars with slots built into bar counters are still idle. So the owners of 62 establishments have banded together and sued the governor of the state. According to them, this decision is unfair, because they can provide the same protection from the virus to the visitors as the casinos, and maybe even better. According to some reports, the restriction affected about 2,000 establishments, which offer a minimum number of slots, about 15, and almost all of them are built into bar counters. At the August 13 court hearing, an attorney for the bar owners said that the bars and casinos were 80 percent in compliance with the government’s anti-coronavirus regulations. At the same time, water parks, which are now open, are 0% compliant. For his part, the governor’s attorney questioned the power of the court to dictate rules imposed as a result of the coronavirus.
